If Your Playlist is a Window to Your Soul...

How about a blog post that isn’t related to Parkinson’s or meds or side effects?

About a month ago a fire in the middle of the night destroyed a restaurant next door to my office building and although our offices didn’t sustain any fire damage, there was enough smoke damage that we have been displaced ever since.  For the past month we’ve been working out of a conference room at a local bank, stacked together like bunk desks, listening to the community Pandora channel.

That got me thinking that I must have the most eclectic playlist around.

Being a child of the 60’s, of course there is a plethora of Peter, Paul and Mary, and Pete Seeger. And of course, the girls: Judy, Joni and Joan.
There are a couple of Beethoven symphonies and I have Pachelbel's Canon in D Major in both chamber orchestra and Caribbean steel drums.  I have the Andrea Bocelli opera album and some duets: think 'Time to Say Goodbye' with Sarah Brightman.

I tried to introduce the guys to my Fleetwood Mac and Stray Cats (thanks, Linda) albums but got a resounding 'whatever'.

Who has the sound tracks of both The Lion King and Moulin Rouge? What's up with that?

The Blues, what can I say? The Blind Boys of Alabama take my breath away and these days I've been listening to Hugh Laurie's (yes, that Hugh Laurie) new album all day every day.

There's a goodly portion of Eric Clapton (my heart be still) and Lady Gaga.

And I think I have every Christmas carol ever recorded.

There's a ton more but one genre you won't find anywhere on my playlist is yodeling cowboys.
Yippie yi yo ki yay.
